Today work-life reality means that we must be prepared to deal with daily stress and challenging conditions, at any time, and there is no letting up. We are expected to perform effectively no matter the circumstance. This is a lot of stress.

We can learn to condition ourselves (mind-body-spirit) to become more resilient and responsive, by learning to strengthen our resilience factor, our ability to bounce back, no matter what. The good news is that resilience is a very teachable construct; it is a quality and skill, and begins with our personal wellness/self-care, the focus for this workshop.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand and define the relationship between stress, resilience, employee wellness/self-care, and personal effectiveness in work-life.
  • Examine how stress adversely impacts our health, job performance and responsiveness overall.
  • Explore current scientific methods in new health and business psychology for solutions that promote wellbeing in order to bounce back from stress and increase resilience.
  • Relate learning to daily job expectations, to establish a personal wellness/self-care plan, to build and sustain resilience on the job.
